The GIGABYTE Z790 AORUS ELITE AX motherboard is a high-performance motherboard designed for use with the 13th and 12th generation Intel Core, Pentium Gold, and Celeron processors. It features the Intel Z790 Express chipset and supports DDR5 memory with a maximum capacity of 128GB. The motherboard has an ATX form factor and measures 30.5cm x 24.4cm. It comes equipped with a Realtek audio CODEC that supports high-definition audio with 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel output. The motherboard also features a range of expansion slots, including one PCI Express x16 slot that supports PCIe 5.0 and two PCI Express x16 slots that support PCIe 4.0. It has a variety of USB ports, including one USB Type-C port with USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 support, one USB Type-C port with USB 3.2 Gen 2 support, and eight USB 2.0/1.1 ports. The motherboard also features a Realtek 2.5GbE LAN chip and an Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 wireless communication module with Bluetooth 5.3 support. It supports a variety of storage options, including one M.2 connector for PCIe 4.0 x4/x2 SSD support and two M.2 connectors for PCIe 4.0 x4/x2 SSD support, as well as six SATA 6Gb/s connectors. The motherboard uses the Intel Z790 Express Chipset and has a BIOS that is licensed by AMI UEFI. It has an ATX form factor measuring 30.5cm x 24.4cm and supports high definition audio with 2/4/5.1/7.1 channels. The motherboard also supports S/PDIF Out.
• In terms of expansion slots, the CPU has one PCI Express x16 slot that supports PCIe 5.0 and runs at x16 (PCIEX16). The chipset has two PCI Express x16 slots that support PCIe 4.0 and run at x4 (PCIEX4_1, PCIEX4_2). The motherboard also supports AMD CrossFire technology (PCIEX16 and PCIEX4).
