The Dell EMC PowerEdge T440 Tower Server is equipped with two Intel Xeon Silver 4208 processors, each with a clock speed of 2.1 GHz, 8 cores, and 16 threads. These processors have a 9.6GT/s bus speed, 11MB cache, Turbo Boost technology, and support Hyper-Threading (85W TDP). The server also includes 32GB of DDR4-2400 RDIMM memory, arranged in a dual-rank configuration.
For storage, the T440 comes with three Dell 2.4TB 2.5-inch 10K SAS drives, capable of delivering data at 12Gbps. It features the PERC H730P RAID controller with a 2GB non-volatile (NV) cache, supporting various RAID levels such as 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60. Additionally, the server is equipped with a SATA DVD+/-RW drive.
In terms of networking, the T440 includes a dual-port 1GbE LOM (LAN on the motherboard) Network Interface Card. The power supply unit has a high output of 750W and offers redundancy with two PSUs. The server features an 8x3.5-inch SAS hot-plug drive backplane and provides a total of nine USB ports (five USB 2.0 and four USB 3.0). The video card is a Matrox G200 with 8MB cache video memory, and the server supports up to five PCIe Gen3 slots.
The T440 Tower Server is compatible with several operating systems, including Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016 (including Hyper-V), Sun Solaris 11.3, Novell, SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (latest version), Red Hat Enterprise Linux (latest version), and VMware ESXi.
